Night Parcel Sorter

We are currently seeking reliable and professional warehouse operatives for a local depot in Thatcham. This is a great opportunity to earn some money ahead of Christmas!

Although a temporary solution initially, it may lead to something more permanent where employees become part of a community and not just a number. If this is the case, our client commits to offer opportunities for growth and development.

Working any of the five days during the week.

23:00-09:00

As the Night Parcel sorter you will be:

• Sorting cages into relevant bays ready for dispatch
• Loading and Unloading Lorries
• Preparing parcels into relevant cages
• Ensuring attention to detail
• Keeping to timescales and deadlines
• Work within a team
• Adhering to Health and Safety regulations
• Ensuring the Warehouse/Loading Bay is tidy and safe from hazards
• Some heavy lifting maybe required

The Person:

• You will need to be reliable and have a willingness to learn and progress in the role.
• This role will involve manual handling, heavy lifting and will involve being on your feet and moving about frequently.
• You will need to have a flexible approach to your work duties and work well within a team.
• You will provide support in your team and help resolve problems and have a can-do attitude.
• Be able to complete a DBS after week 4
• Strong attendance and performance will be rewarded with more secure hours, as well as even a permanent contract at the end of the period.
