The role of the Warehouse Operative:

• Picking and preparing components and cables based on works orders
• Responding to watch buzzer calls from the production floor
• Light admin tasks to support the team
• Kit assembly: pick, count, and organize parts using bills of materials
• Quality control: check for accuracy, quantity, and any damage
• Inventory management: keep workstations tidy and stock updated
• Operating basic kitting/handling equipment
• Recording production data and reporting issues
• Communicating with production and stores to manage parts and shortages
• Always following health and safety guidelines

The person for the Warehouse Operative:

• Dexterous – good with your hands and confident handling small parts
• Detail-oriented – careful, accurate, and thorough
• Numerically confident – able to count and check quantities with ease
• A team player – works well with others and communicates clearly
• Adaptable – ready to shift priorities when needed
• Willing to learn – open to picking up new skills, even with no prior experience
