Active Staff have announced Hope for Tomorrow as their official charity for 2016, supporting their Andover-based mobile chemotherapy unit.
One of Andover’s leading recruitment agencies, Active Staff, have selected Hope for Tomorrow as their official charity for 2016. Passionate about helping those in need within the community, Active Staff will be donating and raising funds for Hope for Tomorrow, a charity which provides valuable care to cancer patients locally.
Hope for Tomorrow is dedicated to bringing vital cancer treatments closer to patients’ homes. Their mobile chemotherapy units work with NHS Trusts to reduce the long travel distances and waiting times that patients often endure. Providing a means for patients to avoid the stresses and strains of busy Oncology Centres.
As well as donating to the charity on a regular basis, Active Staff will help to raise funds for the local Hope for Tomorrow mobile chemotherapy unit, ‘Amy’, based in Andover. They will be undertaking a number of fundraising activities throughout the year, including selling Hope for Tomorrow merchandise and encouraging their clients to sign-up to support the charity, with collection buckets and tubs, balloons, literature, logos and online documentation ready to hand out. They will also be promoting Hope for Tomorrow through their business connections, appealing for volunteers, corporate sponsorship and participation in prize auctions at major charity events.
Director of Active Staff, Lisa Armstrong has said:
“Active Staff are absolutely delighted to be supporting Hope for Tomorrow. The team were first made aware of the Mobile Chemotherapy Unit at an event back in June which celebrated its 3rd birthday and we all soon realised what a valuable and inspirational service was being offered, right on our doorstep. Like many companies, several of our team have had their lives affected through friends or family members suffering with cancer. As such this is a cause we feel extremely passionate about. Active Staff will be doing all we can to support Hope for Tomorrow and the MCU.”
Catherine Wade from Hope for Tomorrow has said:
“We thank Active Staff for choosing Hope For Tomorrow as their official charity for 2016 and welcome everything that their team will be doing to support our charity. Over the years our Mobile Chemotherapy Unit has proved vital support, helping suffers in and around Andover get the treatment they require in a convenient and stress-free environment. Active Staff’s support will go a long way in aiding us to continue this service’’
