The role of the Electronics Test Engineer:
- Performing functional testing of a variety of PCBs, primarily RF designs, using customer-supplied test equipment and specifications.
- Diagnosing and fault-finding to component level on failed PCBs and implementing corrective/preventive actions.
- Identifying and repairing faults in test equipment.
- Supporting test strategy development for new products as part of the NPI process, including: Reviewing customer test specifications and recommending improvements, Verifying and validating test equipment and fixtures & Assisting in the design and build of test fixtures where not supplied.
- Creating and maintaining fault logs and classifying failure modes to assist Engineering, Test, and Quality teams in yield analysis and continuous improvement.
- Monitoring and maintaining test equipment calibration and functionality.
- Supporting investigation of customer returns, identifying root causes and proposing effective corrective actions.
- Staying current with industry standards and best practices.
- Carrying out any other duties as required by engineering or production leadership.
The Person for the Electrical Test Engineer:
- Further Education in a relevant engineering discipline, ideally to HNC level or equivalent in Electrical & Electronic Engineering.
- Proven experience in the testing and evaluation of RF or broadcasting electronic assemblies and equipment.
- Strong ability to support production and customer queries from a technical standpoint.
- Demonstrated experience working collaboratively within a team.
