My client are a leading Global Design and Manufacturing business on the outskirts of Salisbury, due to the sustained growth and continued success they are seeking someone to join the team as a Machine/Trimmer Operator.
During and after the initial training stage, you will be working alongside an experienced team of operators skilled in a unique and vibrant sector of manufacturing.
Job Description -
- Match and select Engineering plastic sheets for processing using job card information.
- Quality checks at each stage of processing
- Set-up and operate CNC controlled flatbed router machines using pre-programmed and loaded electronic files.
- Quality check processed parts off machine to maintain high levels of quality and accuracy including colour, thickness, and number of parts to drawing.
- Assist team member when required.
- Operate handheld routers to apply varying levels of finishes of cut parts produced from the machine.

Work experience-
Due to the unique nature of the business, we are looking for an operator that can transition from a machining or manufacturing environment; experience operating a cutting machine and processing materials using electric hand tools of varying types would be best suited.
This position will involve lifting and manoeuvring heavy sheets throughout the day; the use of a palm/hand Router, Stanley knife and trimming knife is integral to the role.

If you do not have experience operating a CNC Router, or know what a CNC Router is, but do have machine experience within a Production environment or experience with hand finishing tools, this could be your successful transition into a vibrant new industry where full training is provided.

Pay: £13.30 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 37.5 per week
