Out client based in Farnborough is currently looking to recruit for a Paint Shop Team Leader. You will be responsible for the day-to-day people management, Work scheduling, Quality control, inventory, performance appraisals and identifying any training requirements.

The Role of Paint Shop Team Leader:

• Ensuring the lean principles are embedded in the department and providing continuous improvement solutions.
• Quality reviewing of both wet and powder paint on products and potential rework
• Ensuring production efficiencies are communicated throughout the team and that they are met in line with staffing levels available
• Ensuring staffing levels are reviewed periodically and action is taken to meet the forward production plan
• Communicating clearly and effectively with your team to ensure they are aware of production priorities and the schedule is being adhered to, in conjunction with the Factory plan.
• Keeping track of shelf life for paints
• Managing day to day personnel issues within the department and ensuring they are resolved in a timely manner.
• Promoting good housekeeping and ensuring the environment is always safe and clean in line with 7s
• Ensuring that the team is performing their duties as required
• General departmental administration
• Maintaining an inventory of raw materials and finished products
• Purchasing inventory and maintaining BOM status
• Plan and manage the departmental budget
