Active Staff are proud to be recruiting on behalf of a highly respected manufacturing company, currently seeking a Production Supervisor to join their dynamic team. As Production Supervisor, you’ll play a key role in ensuring production runs smoothly, efficiently, and safely. You’ll be responsible for supervising a team of operators and welders, ensuring work orders are fulfilled on time and to the highest quality standards.

The Role of the Production Supervisor:
- Allocate daily tasks to operators/welders based on production schedules.
- Issue and close work orders using the MRP system.
- Supervise and monitor team performance in line with work instructions.
- Meet and exceed assigned production targets.
- Ensure full compliance with health and safety policies.
- Oversee first-off/test requirements as per control plans.
- Liaise with the production planning team for timely order delivery.
- Provide cover for other supervisors during leave.
- Support quality improvement and address non-conformance issues.
- Identify and report product or process issues.
- Motivate and lead the production team effectively.
- Organise equipment repairs and maintenance as needed.
- Monitor performance and timekeeping of staff.
The Person for the Production Supervisor:
- Computer literate, with solid knowledge of Microsoft Office (particularly Outlook).
- Strong understanding of MRP systems.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment (preferred).
- Familiarity with ISO9001 and/or IATF16949 quality standards.
- Excellent planning and time management skills.
- Hardworking, enthusiastic, and motivated.
- Eye for detail and a strong commitment to quality.
- Ability to delegate and manage team workloads.
- Flexible and willing to work on the shop floor when required.
