This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled and proactive Quality Engineer to join a growing team in a well-established, high-tech manufacturing business.
As a key member of the Quality team, you’ll be responsible for maintaining and developing the company’s Quality Management System, supporting operational teams, and driving continuous improvement across the business.

The role of the Quality Engineer:
- Support the development and maintenance of the company’s Quality Management Systems (QMS).
- Create and refine operational procedures across departments.
- Gain a deep understanding of manufacturing processes, customer requirements, and product lines.
- Develop and manage Quality Manufacturing Plans and PFMEAs for key products.
- Conduct spot checks, process audits, and product audits within production.
- Investigate root causes of recurring issues and implement corrective actions.
- Manage non-conformities in liaison with internal teams.
- Work closely with the Supplier Quality Engineer to address supply chain quality concerns.
- Support customer enquiries and complaints related to the QMS.
- Identify and assess business risks during NPI, Sales Order Reviews, and Change Control.
- Assist with inspections across all stages of manufacturing (Goods In, In-Process, Counterfeit Inspection).
- Maintain and release Business Management System documentation.
- Contribute to the achievement of strategic KPIs and support internal improvement initiatives.
- Promote 6S principles, Health & Safety compliance, and environmental responsibility.
- Collaborate across departments to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products.
The person for the Quality Engineer:
- At least 2 years’ experience in a Quality Engineer role within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Familiarity with standards such as ISO 9001, AS9100, ISO 13485, IATF 16949.
- Knowledge of quality tools: 8D, CAPA, 5 Whys.
- Experience conducting internal audits to ISO or equivalent standards.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills and data analysis capabilities.
- Confident communicator, comfortable working with all levels of internal and external stakeholders.
Desirable:
- Background in electronics or PCBA manufacturing.
- HNC (Level 4) qualification in Electronics Engineering or a related field.
- IPC certifications (IPC-A-600, IPC-A-610).
- Lean Six Sigma Yellow or Green Belt.
- Experience with First Article Inspection (FAI) and general inspection practices.
