Trainee Sewing Machinist

Location: Andover
Pay: £12.21 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Contract: Temp to Perm

About the Role:

Our client based in Andover is seeking a Trainee Sewing Machinist to join their friendly and supportive team. This is an excellent opportunity to learn new skills and grow within a well-established company.

This is a hands-on, physical role working with carpet materials daily. Full training will be provided, and assistance is always available for lifting or handling heavy items.

Key Responsibilities:

• Cut and prepare orders to required specifications.
• Check materials before edging to ensure quality standards.
• Edge carpets using whipping yarn or sewn borders.
• Label and dispatch products accurately.
• Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe working environment.
• Follow instructions from the department team leader.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of products and services.
• Work in line with health and safety policies.
