Jo Newmann

Hello, I’m Jo and I’m the Operations Manager here at Active Staff.

It’s a pleasure to be supporting the team on a part time basis, with the back-office operations to keep the engine room running efficiently!

I originate from Andover and have a great knowledge of the surrounding areas.  I live with Andrew, my partner of 25 years and my Shih Tzu’s, Wilfie and Pipas. Our spare time is a mixture of bike riding, walking the dogs and fishing when the weather is good and watching football and Formula 1 when it’s not. I love making our gardens awash with colourful flowers and plants during the spring and summer months. Also, I’m not a bad baker.

I have recently semi-retired,  so I intend to spend more time doing the fun things like visiting my favourite place,  Charlestown in Cornwall, where we can sit in the garden overlooking the harbour … and spot dolphins if we are lucky.

My background has been within the recruitment, supplemented with Human Resource Management and L&D over the last 15 years. I have experienced industries such as manufacturing, insurance and employment law which all had a focus on providing first class service to customers and employees alike. I am confident that skills I’ve learnt along the way always adds value to Active Staff.
