Warehouse Operative – Temporary Peak Season (Night Shift)

Active Staff are proud to be working with our client based in Thatcham, supporting them during their busy peak season.

Due to increased demand, our client is now looking for reliable and hardworking Temporary Warehouse Operatives to join their team.

Shift:

Night Shift:
Tuesday to Saturday – 1:00am to 9:00am

There may be opportunities to work additional hours as and when required by the client.

Key Responsibilities

• Sorting cages into the relevant bays ready for dispatch
• Loading and unloading lorries
• Preparing parcels into the correct cages
• Maintaining a high level of attention to detail
• Working to timescales and meeting deadlines
• Working effectively as part of a team
• Adhering to all Health & Safety regulations
• Keeping the warehouse and loading bay clean, tidy and free from hazards
• Carrying out manual handling and some heavy lifting where required

About You

• Have at least 1 year’s experience working within a warehouse environment
• Be reliable, punctual and have a strong work ethic
• Have a willingness to learn and develop within the role
• Be comfortable with manual handling and heavy lifting
• Be able to work on your feet and move around frequently throughout the shift
• Have a flexible approach to work duties
• Work well as part of a team
• Have a positive, can-do attitude
• Be able to support colleagues and help resolve problems when required
• Demonstrate strong attendance and performance

Requirements

• You will be required to complete a DBS check by week 4 of employment
• You must be able to provide 2 years of work references, or study references where applicable
• Previous warehouse experience of at least 1 year is essential
