HGV Class 1 Driver

I am pleased to be representing a leading Engineering company, that is seeking a dependable and experienced Class 1 Delivery Driver to join their team on a permanent basis. As a key member of organisation, you will be responsible for ensuring the timely delivery of essential equipment for various projects while representing the company in all interactions.

You will work 10-hour shifts, with flexible hours, often be required to stay overnight (usually twice a week), with a fixed payment of £40 per stay away.

This is a Monday to Friday position, with weekends off.

Role

• Deliver and collect products in a professional, efficient, and effective manner.
• Liaise with the Transport Manager to ensure a customer-first approach is taken at all times.
• Communicate with the office and customers to maintain or exceed on-time delivery.
• Adhere to all legislation, including Tachograph and DSA driving standards.
• Maintain a positive image of the brand to our customers.
• Ensure your vehicle is well-maintained and compliant with all necessary requirements.

The Person

• Compliant with CPC and Digital Tacho
• Class 1 Licence and experience (min. 2 years)
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Can-do, problem-solving attitude with the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment and take on additional tasks as needed
• Positive and high-performing mindset
