Machine Operative on PM shift

Job Summary

Our established local client is seeking a reliable Machine Operative on afternoon shift to join their busy manufacturing team on a temporary to permanent basis. This is a varied, hands-on role offering excellent long-term career prospects for the right candidate. Following a successful temporary period, candidates will have the opportunity to secure a permanent position with an increased hourly rate and additional company benefits.

Main Responsibilities

• Operate bagging and drying equipment safely and efficiently.
• Carry out basic fault finding, daily inspections, and preventative maintenance to ensure smooth production.
• Load finished products onto customer vehicles using a forklift truck.
• Assist with general production and warehouse duties as required.
• Perform manual handling tasks as part of the production process.
• Work as part of a busy team while maintaining high standards of health and safety.

Pay Rate:

£14.32 per hour (increasing to £14.75 per hour upon successful completion of the temporary period and move to a permanent contract)

Working Hours:

Monday to Friday:

• Afternoon Shift: 1:45pm – 10:15pm

Skills & Experience

• Previous Counterbalance Forklift experience is desirable but not necessary
• Physically fit and able to perform manual tasks
• Basic computer skills
• Previous experience within a manufacturing, production, or warehouse environment
