Production Assistant

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking candidate to join the friendly manufacturing team of our well-established client as a Production Assistant.

This is a Temporary to Permanent opportunity, offering the successful candidate the chance to develop within a stable and supportive working environment.

As a Plant Operative, you will support the day-to-day running of the plant, helping to ensure that production, stock handling and general operations are carried out safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, a strong willingness to learn and develop, and be comfortable carrying out physically demanding duties. The role will involve manual handling, heavy lifting, stocking, palletising and supporting general production activities.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is reliable, practical and keen to build a long-term career within a busy manufacturing environment focused on quality, safety and operational excellence.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30AM to 4:00 PM – 1 hour break – only 30 minutes deducted

Duties

• Palletizing product and getting it ready for storage and shipment
• Quality checking and moving products
• Working on production line making sure that product is meeting company standards
• Assist with the loading and unloading of raw materials and finished products, requiring heavy lifting when necessary.
• Follow safety protocols diligently, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment at all times.
• Support the implementation of process improvements aimed at increasing efficiency and reducing waste.
• Maintain accurate records of operational activities, including production outputs and equipment maintenance logs.

Requirements

• Physical capability for heavy lifting and manual handling tasks in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on safety procedures and quality standards.
• Good communication skills to work effectively within a team environment.
• Ability to follow instructions precisely and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
