The role of the Senior Design Engineer:

• Jig/tooling design and specification
• Gauge and validation system specification
• Ensuring all designs are feasible and manufacturable
• Promoting best-practice manufacturing methods internally and with suppliers
• Supporting DFM, prototype builds, volume ramp-up, and plant production processes
• Conducting engineering reviews to ensure milestones and project timelines are met
• Liaising with suppliers for parts, tools, and costing
• Providing accurate cost estimations

The person for the Senior Design Engineer:

• HND or Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent experience)
• At least 5 years’ experience in a similar role
• Previous experience in the Manufacturing industry
• Proficient in CATIA V5 (preferred) or SolidWorks
• Understanding of jig and fixture strategies
• Strong communication, motivation, and leadership skills
• Willingness to travel occasionally
