Warehouse Operative – Day Shift

Active Staff is recruiting on behalf of our client who is located on Newhouse Farm Industrial Estate in Chepstow - OWN TRANSPORT IS ESSENTIAL DUE TO THE LOCATION

Day Shift:

Shift times – 7am to 3pm - 40 hours per week – Working 5 days out of 7

Pay - £13.27

You will be working 5 weekends (Saturday and Sunday) in every 8 weeks, please ensure you can commit to this rota before applying

You will be working on a rota basis, and this does include weekends.

About the Role:

Your main role will be core picking duties, this will be items from household goods through to tinned products and dried goods. You may be required to help with loading and unloading of lorries. You will also be on the pick by line using headsets to voice pick. You first week will be training on multi skilled duties - you cannot miss any working days in your first week of induction and training.

Responsibilities:

• Loading and Unloading Lorries
• Picking and Packing
• Keeping to time scales and pick targets
• Working within a team
• Use of LLOP (training will be provided)
• Ensuring safe use of machines and equipment
• Adhering to Health and Safety within the Warehouse
• Keeping the Warehouse tidy and safe from hazards
• Some heavy lifting may be required

About You:

• To be successful in this role you will need to be motivated, reliable, and eager to progress.
• Excellent reading, writing and verbal communications will be required.
• You will deliver high working standards with brilliant attention to detail meaning working to deadlines and achieving targets.
• To be able to work in a busy warehouse environment and within a team is vital.
