Active Staff is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a market-leading engineering company that is looking to expand its manufacturing team with an experienced MIG Welder.
Due to the location of the site, a full driving licence and access to your own transport are essential.

The Role
As a MIG Welder, you will be responsible for producing high-quality welded components while working to engineering specifications and maintaining the highest standards of workmanship.
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 1:45pm – 10:15pm
Salary: £32,000.00-£34,000.00 per annum
Your responsibilities will include:
- MIG welding mild steel components to a high standard.
- Fabricating and welding sheet metal, hollow sections, and pipework.
- Working with a range of material thicknesses while maintaining accuracy and quality.
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and fabrication plans.
- Inspecting completed work to ensure it meets quality standards.
- Operating overhead cranes and forklift trucks where required (full training can be provided).
- Working safely and following all company health and safety procedures.
- Supporting the wider production team to meet manufacturing deadlines.
We're looking for someone who has:
- Previous MIG welding experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
- The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Excellent attention to detail and pride in producing high-quality work.
- Good planning and organisational skills.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving.
- The ability to work efficiently in a busy production environment.
