Health and Safety Assistant

I am pleased to be representing a market leading Engineering company who are on the lookout for a Health and Safety Assistant…. In this position your role will be to support the H&S procedures, inspections and investigations across manufacturing, workshops and storage environments

Role of the Health and Safety Assistant:

• Work closely with the Health and Safety Manager across a multitude of H&S disciplines
• Site inspections and support operational changes
• Investigate incidents and identify root causes
• Review and update risk assessments and safe systems of work
• Support preparation of ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 audits

Experience of the Health and Safety Assistant:

• Previous H&S experience within a Manufacturing environment
• Hold a NEBOSH certificate or willingness to work towards it
• Confident in carrying out inspections and investigations
• Practical and pragmatic approach to risk management
• Strong communication skills across all levels
• Full UK driving license
