Description
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Manual Metal Finisher / Deburring Technician to join precision engineering team of our dynamically growing clients team. This role is critical in ensuring machined components meet the highest standards of dimensional accuracy, surface finish, and overall quality.
Working in a quality-driven environment, you will play a key part in delivering components that meet strict customer and industry standards, including ISO requirements.

Salary
Starting from £35,000 per annum
Working Hours
- Monday to Thursday: 07:00 – 15:15
- Friday: 07:00 – 14:30
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out manual deburring of machined components, including small precision parts
- Use a variety of hand tools such as files, scrapers, deburring blades, and stones
- Perform polishing and surface finishing to meet drawing specifications
- Remove sharp edges and blend radii to required standards
- Work under magnification (microscope or loupe) where required
- Conduct visual inspections against engineering drawings and quality standards
- Identify and report non-conformances promptly
- Maintain cleanliness and ensure proper handling and protection of components
- Accurately record job completion and maintain batch traceability where required
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in manual metal finishing or deburring
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Understanding of tolerances and surface finish requirements
- Excellent attention to detail and high level of manual dexterity
- Experience working to tight tolerances
- Familiarity with materials such as stainless steel, titanium, and aluminium
Desirable (Not Essential)
- Experience within medical or aerospace manufacturing environments
- Knowledge of ISO 13485 or AS9100 standards
- Experience working under magnification
- Understanding of surface roughness measurements (Ra values)
