Stores Kitting Operative

Active Staff are proud to be working with our prestigious client, Custom Interconnect Limited, who are on the lookout for a motivated and detail-oriented SMT Production Set-Up Operative to join their growing electronics manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing SMT production kits and working closely with the Stores and Production teams to keep operations running efficiently.

The working hours are Monday to Thursday: 8:30am – 5:00pm, Friday: 8:30am – 3:30pm OR Monday to Thursday 1:00pm – 11:00pm

The role of the Stores Kitting Operative:

• Prepare and check SMT production kits for accuracy.
• Complete de-kitting and component count backs.
• Bake and label PCBs following company procedures.
• Manage shortages with the Stores team.
• Report any kitting or production issues.
• Follow quality, Health & Safety, and company procedures.
• Support colleagues and maintain high standards of workmanship.
• Travel between our production sites when required.

Experience of the Stores Kitting Operative:

• Experience in kitting, stores, warehouse, or manufacturing.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Confident handling small components and working accurately.
• Good numeracy skills and computer literacy (Excel, Outlook, Word).
• Strong communication skills and a positive, team-focused attitude.
• Willing to learn and develop within a growing business.
