Chillers Service Engineer

Our client is a well-established specialist in commercial refrigeration, chillers, and cooling systems, providing service, maintenance, installation, and technical support across a wide range of industrial and commercial environments. Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit experienced Chiller Service Engineers to join their expanding engineering team.

The Role

As a Chiller Service Engineer, you will be responsible for the service, maintenance, fault finding, repair, and installation of a wide range of refrigeration and chiller systems across customer sites.

You will work independently across multiple sites, delivering high standards of technical support, system diagnostics, and customer service.

Pay: £40,000.00-£48,000.00 per year

Working Hours

Monday to Friday, 8:00AM to 6:00PM

Key Responsibilities

• Service, maintenance, and repair of:
• Water chillers and central cooling plant
• Split systems and VRV/VRF systems
• Refrigeration systems including cold rooms and computer suites
• Fault finding and diagnostics on refrigeration and electrical control systems
• Carrying out system improvements and repair solutions on site
• Producing detailed service reports, worksheets, and customer updates
• Supporting junior engineers and providing technical guidance when required
• Attending reactive breakdown call outs and planned maintenance visits
• Working safely with refrigerants, electrics, controls, hot works, and lifting operations

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you should have:

• Minimum 6 years’ experience within refrigeration/chiller engineering
• Level 3 qualification in Refrigeration or Engineering
• Strong fault finding and diagnostic skills
• Experience working on chillers, refrigeration systems, and VRV/VRF equipment
• Ability to work independently and manage service calls effectively
• Excellent communication and report writing skills
• Valid F-Gas certification
• Full UK driving licence

Desirable Skills

Any of the following would be advantageous:

• Centrifugal chiller experience
• Ammonia or CO2 systems knowledge
• 17th Edition / Electrical Testing & Inspection
• Compressor overhaul experience
• TM44 inspections / energy surveys
• Experience with Daikin, Mitsubishi, Geoclima, Turbomiser or similar systems
