Our client is a well-established specialist in commercial refrigeration, chillers, and cooling systems, providing service, maintenance, installation, and technical support across a wide range of industrial and commercial environments. Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit experienced Chiller Service Engineers to join their expanding engineering team.

The Role
As a Chiller Service Engineer, you will be responsible for the service, maintenance, fault finding, repair, and installation of a wide range of refrigeration and chiller systems across customer sites.
You will work independently across multiple sites, delivering high standards of technical support, system diagnostics, and customer service.
Pay: £40,000.00-£48,000.00 per year
Working Hours
Monday to Friday, 8:00AM to 6:00PM
Key Responsibilities
- Service, maintenance, and repair of:
- Water chillers and central cooling plant
- Split systems and VRV/VRF systems
- Refrigeration systems including cold rooms and computer suites
- Fault finding and diagnostics on refrigeration and electrical control systems
- Carrying out system improvements and repair solutions on site
- Producing detailed service reports, worksheets, and customer updates
- Supporting junior engineers and providing technical guidance when required
- Attending reactive breakdown call outs and planned maintenance visits
- Working safely with refrigerants, electrics, controls, hot works, and lifting operations
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you should have:
- Minimum 6 years’ experience within refrigeration/chiller engineering
- Level 3 qualification in Refrigeration or Engineering
- Strong fault finding and diagnostic skills
- Experience working on chillers, refrigeration systems, and VRV/VRF equipment
- Ability to work independently and manage service calls effectively
- Excellent communication and report writing skills
- Valid F-Gas certification
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable Skills
Any of the following would be advantageous:
- Centrifugal chiller experience
- Ammonia or CO2 systems knowledge
- 17th Edition / Electrical Testing & Inspection
- Compressor overhaul experience
- TM44 inspections / energy surveys
- Experience with Daikin, Mitsubishi, Geoclima, Turbomiser or similar systems
